ABOUT VISITLP
Who operates this website
VisitLP is an independent Leelanau Peninsula guide operated through Media Dominance. It is not an official tourism bureau or a booking service.
WHEN YOU CONTACT US
Information you choose to send
Our forms ask for your name, email address, and the details needed to respond to your request. Business inquiries can include a business name, website, listing link, and requested changes. Event submissions include the event name, date, venue, and official website. Please do not include payment card details, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information.
We use this information to respond, review corrections and submissions, and discuss requested partnerships. Sending a form does not make a reservation, publish a listing, or automatically subscribe you to marketing email.
STORAGE AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
How requests are handled
Submissions are saved in a private website inbox available to site administrators. An email notification can alert the publisher that a request has arrived. Hosting, email, and security providers may process information needed to operate these services.
Requests remain in the private inbox until removed by an administrator. Routine backups may retain earlier copies after a request is removed from the active website. If you ask us to delete a request, we will review it and explain any information that needs to be retained for ongoing correspondence or other applicable obligations.
WEBSITE OPERATION
Technical information and cookies
Hosting and security services may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps. The inquiry system uses a short-lived keyed identifier derived from an IP address or email address to limit repeated submissions. These rate-limit records expire after about one hour.
WordPress uses cookies for features such as administrator sign-in. Where optional analytics or advertising tools are offered, use the accompanying privacy controls to manage your choices.
LINKS TO OTHER SERVICES
Business and merchandise websites
VisitLP links to businesses, attractions, and merchandise storefronts such as Threadless and TeePublic. Those services handle their own visits, purchases, payments, and privacy practices. VisitLP does not receive payment card details through its inquiry forms.
